Trip Statistics

After the Enchanted Highway we drove hard to get back home. Heading home after a two month trip was a let down but we had to go back to work. A year later all I can say is, it was the trip of our lifetime. We have no regrets and I can't wait until we can do it again.
What I am reading on blogs this year gas is around $1.10 per gallon more expensive which would add $1700 in fuel cost to my averages. In October Orion died, we are really glad he got to experience this trip with us. For these two reasons we are glad we went when we did. If you want to make this trip and have a chance, don't put it off...GO! Life is uncertain and short.

Total Miles for trip 13,190 Miles Driven in Alaska 2473
Miles Driven in the Continental US 6012
Miles Driven in Canada 4705
Total Fuel Cost $5523.24 Total gallons of gas used 1630.36
Average cost/gallon $3.387 Average Miles per gallon 8.09
Cost per mile driven $0.4187

Until next trip.

On the Enchanted Highway

Regent, North Dakota

The following sculptures were scattered along a country road filled with
hay and wheat fields. I'll put a report in the written blog.
Absolutely unbelievable!!!!

For Geese in Flight

Geese in flight

The World's largest metal sculpture.

These line both side of the road leading to the big one.

Teddy rides again.

Teddy was made out of pipe. Stagecoach was made from wood.
