Said to be the most photographed sight on the Homer Spit. The
lighthouse is an official NOAA marker on marine charts. It was once a
water tower.Several buildings were spliced together to create this
landmark. Part of the main building was HQ for the Cook Inlet Coal
Fields Co. at the turn of the last century. Homer's first Post Office
houses the pool hall portion and the third section is an old
schoolhouse. Local ingenuity and architecture at work.
