You can see I have been busy tonight. You can also see by the pictures that we saw a LOT today. Visited Mt. Rushmore again and then went to Crazy Horse Monument to check it out. I added so much to the blog you will have to either hit "older posts" at the bottom of each page until you get to the point you last read: or click on June or 2010 in the Blog Archive section, on the left hand side as you scroll down. I hope you enjoy the pictures. We are enjoying seeing the sites in the US so much that sometimes I wonder why we are going to Canada. Then I remembered it is the only way to get to Alaska.
Yesterday we discovered we had forgotten O's heartworm medicine. We have everything from antibiodic to bandages, including Front Line, but left the heartworm pills in the cabinet. I had Mike look for a vet here and give me a phone number. (I could'nt get on line) I made two calls and then had to call Dr. Wilkins office to get them to give the prescription over the phone to the vet here. After Crazy Horse we went into Rapid City to pick it up. No problems they were very helpful.
We then drove a little until we found a nice campground with wifi to let us play catch up and rest. We stopped around 5 and hooked up everything. The wind is horrible and is forecast to be bad tomorrow. Luckily it is hitting the back end of the camper. We could not stand it if it was from the sides. I estimate gusts to 30 mph.
It was good to rest and catch up on everything tonight. We are going to go hard now to get into Canada.
We only drove 101 miles today. The last tank of gas we got 8.04 mpg. That can amount to a lot of money during this trip. Good night.
