We started the day in Ft. Nelson and headed toward Muncho lake. At first the road looked a lot like the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. I told Deatra that the Parkway was actually prettier. Then we started across the Northern Rocky Mountains. Never have I seen anything like it. Big rough mountains. Some had snow on them, some trees, and some were bare rock. There were rocky streams everywhere to carry of the snow melt. I do not have a good enough command of the english language to describe what we saw. I'll let the pictures tell the tell. We took a BUNCH of pictures today.
After we came through Muncho Lake we started seeing animals. We saw herds of Buffalo. We were 8 and 10 feet from them on occasion, in the motor home of course.
We saw a couple of herds of stone sheep. Again we were mere feet from them taking pictures. We saw a few Moose but at much longer range. We saw two Caribou but we couldn't get a picture. Finally we saw a black bear. We were about 50 or 60 feet from him, he didn't even look. Pictures will be posted.
We stopped about 50 or 60 miles from Watson Lake on a big hill looking out over the Liard River Valley. It it a very large gravel parking lot. We grilled out and relaxed. No one joined us tonight Again we have no phone service or internet. Ain't life grand...............
