We didn't get a early start today. We were tired and then I tried to catch up on the blog, less pictures. Then I decided to dump and flush the black tank. Had my first accident with the hose coming off of the valve. Fortunately it was late in the process. We left around 12 noon in a light rain. That rain lasted on and off all day.
As left Iowa and entered Minnesota the temperature dropped into the 60's. O thought it felt good. In minnesota we saw 3 flat flat bed trucks with huge, not big, huge white propeller looking things extending off the back. We remarked that they loooked like propellers for a windmill. Sure enough in a few miles we saw several wind farms with 20-30 big windmills.
We made it to South Dakota where rolling hills returned but lots of just flat areas too. The biggest thing was the amount of road signs along the highway and a 75 mph speed limit.Gas was running $2.57 to 2.60 per gallon. The Tioga has averaged a steady 7.71 mpg for the trip. I would like more but am pleased with that.
We stopped at Cabela's for the night. The lot had 10 RV's "camping out". They even have a dump station but no potable water. 417 miles for the day.
