June 20 Happy Fathers Day

I am typing this at 10:50 Canadian time and it is still not completely dark! Tomorrow is the longest day of the year and if you are far enough north it will not get dark. When we get around Fairbanks, AK we don't expect to see but 2-3 hours of dark which they say is like twilight.
We had a good day of driving today. Lots of countryside. Saw some deer and one Grey fox. We drove hard trying to get to Dawson Creek, the start of the Alaskan Highway. (Alcan) We drove 390 miles and got tired. We stopped 137 miles short of Dawson Creek. We plan on spending the day there tomorrow then camping threre and head up the Alkan Tuesday.
After we stopped tonight I pulled the grill off of the Motor home, wrapped in screen wire, and put it back. The bugs and mosquitoes are said to be bad enough that it is good to protect the radiator. We are camped in the middle of the woods now looking forward to a good day tomorrow.
O yea, good news, the last two tankfuls have averaged 8.9 and 9.02 mpg. Gas was $3.47 and $3.28 per gallon so that increase in mileage will help. I had read that at 12,000 miles the gas mileage on this engine would improve. I now have 11,867 miles on the motor home. I guess they were right. Good nite.
